The Lancashire Telegraph photographer picked the perfect day to take to the air for this photograph over central Blackburn.
Bottom left you can see work underway to create what would become Barbara Castle Way and you get a good look at St John’s Church with its distinctive tower.
On the left of the picture is the market and rooftop car park. You can also see the walkway over Ainsworth Street linking the market to the shopping centre.
Blackburn’s old and new town hall are in the middle of the photo with the shopping centre behind. Blackburn Station and the Boulevard are at the top of the photo. What other town centre landmarks do you recognise?
