Police are appealing for information to trace an Audi driver who drove the wrong way down a carriageway on the M65.
The incident happened during the afternoon on Sunday (May 5), as officers were dealing with a serious crash on the motorway.
The M65 was closed, between junctions four and five, for several hours while emergency services worked to free the traffic and carry out their investigations.
Anyone who may have dashcam footage of the Audi is asked to e-mail it to 3523@lancashire.police.uk
