A man is to stand trial after denying an offence of assaulting a woman.
Islaam Nazir, 30, of Keswick Road, Burnley, appeared at Burnley Crown Court on Thursday (May 2) charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Nazir will next be in court of October 9 for a pre-trial review hearing, with a trial set to take place on December 4.
Judge Sara Dodd said: "Should you not attend either date that is a separate criminal offence resulting in you being remanded in custody.
"If you are not here for your trial we will simply do the trial without you."
The hearings may be heard at either of the court buildings in Burnley or Preston.
